Eastern Switzerland‘s economic centre

St.Gallen is Switzerland's eighth largest city and, in terms of population, one of the youngest. The city's population density is comparatively low. St.Gallen covers 40 km², of which around 50 percent is green space.
St.Gallen is in the east of Switzerland: a few kilometres south of Lake Constance and almost 30 kilometres north of its favourite mountain, Säntis. St.Gallen is also at the heart of Europe with excellent regional, national and international transport links.
